Average cost and shares: use your brokerage
Find the current share count and average purchase cost for the holding. If the price is in dollars, choose USD and enter a dollar amount. Do not enter your whole position value in the per-share cost field. Fractional shares can be entered as decimals.
Use the average cost adjusted by your brokerage after a share split. You do not need to reconstruct individual trades. The calculator keeps only the total shares and average cost you provide.
Annual distributions: check the period
One starting point is the sum of gross per-share distributions over the trailing twelve months in the official provider history. For hypothetical payments of USD 0.40, 0.50, 0.45 and 0.65, the total is USD 2 per share. The average payment of USD 0.50 is not the annual total.
Past distributions do not promise the same future amount. Distribution yields, annualized recent payments, trailing yields and SEC yields can describe different things. This calculator asks for a cash distribution per share for holdings, so check what the provider’s figure actually measures.
Calendar entries are per payment
Enter the date and gross per-share amount for one payment, not the full annual distribution at every date. Mark the basis as “Official notice checked,” “User entered,” or “Estimated date” to distinguish your sources.
If you only know the net cash received, confirm the gross amount or align your tax settings to avoid a second deduction. The calendar does not check record-date eligibility or repeat dates the following year.
Price and exchange rate are separate inputs
Current price is optional for existing income. Enter it to calculate current yield or the cost of additional shares. Historical average cost is never silently substituted for the current purchase price.
Enter KRW per USD to combine dollar holdings with Korean-won holdings. KRW amounts are divided by this rate to report dollar totals. This does not reconstruct the actual USD you paid on each purchase date or include a bank exchange spread. Official links in the ETF selector are for checking information; no live figures are fetched.
